Chief White started in the fire service as a volunteer in the early 1990’s with Wellborn and Falmouth Volunteer Fire Departments. In 1994 he became a State Certified Firefighter and worked various EMS agencies, Fire Departments including the private sector. In November 2009 he accepted a casual position as a Firefighter Paramedic and promoted to a full-time position in October 2010. He obtained officer status when he was promoted to the rank of Senior Captain/Fire Marshal assigned to the Fire Prevention Division in 2014. In 2019 he accepted the position of Deputy Chief. He currently oversees Fire Prevention, Fire and Life Safety Education, Investigations, and Administrative Services. He also continues to serve as the counties’ Fire Marshal/Fire Code Official. He maintains State certifications as Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector II, Arson Investigator, Fire Officer IV, Code Administrator, Paramedic and holds an Associates’s Degree in Emergency Medical Services.
Chief Howard started his career in the fire service as a State Certified Firefighter in 1994. He was one of the first employees hired to the newly founded department known as Suwannee County Fire Dept which eventually merged with EMS becoming Suwannee County Fire Rescue. He attained officer status when he was promoted to Lieutenant and was assigned to fire suppression operations. In 2017 he accepted the position of Battalion Chief. He currently oversees A-Shift, the fitness program, and health evaluations. He maintains state certifications as an Instructor I, Live Fire Instructor, Inspector II, Arson Investigator I, Fire Officer III and Paramedic.
Chief Hubbard started his career in the fire service with Suwannee County Fire Rescue as a Firefighter/EMT in 2010. He promoted to a fulltime status as a Firefighter Paramedic in 2011.
He attained officer status when he was promoted to Lieutenant in 2016 and was assigned to the Operations Division. In 2018 he accepted the position of Battalion Chief and currently oversees C-Shift. He maintains state certifications as an Instructor I, Live Fire Instructor, Inspector I, Fire Officer II, Hazmat Tech and Paramedic.
Chief Garbett started in the fire service as a volunteer in 1990 with Lake City. In 1991 he became a State Certified Firefighter and in 1992 began his career with the City of Lake City Fire Department. In 2008 he accepted a fulltime position as a firefighter /EMT and promoted to Firefighter/Paramedic in 2010. He attained officer status when he was promoted to Captain in 2013 and was assigned to the operations division. In 2017 he accepted the position of Battalion Chief and currently oversees B-Shift, Hazmat Team, and Special Operations. He maintains state certifications as an Instructor I, Inspector I, Investigator I, Fire Officer IV, Hazmat Tech and Paramedic.
