Are You Ready to Serve? 

At Suwannee County Fire Rescue, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and service. We are looking for qualified individuals who are passionate about emergency response and ready to meet the challenges of serving our community. To ensure all team members are prepared and certified to the highest standards, we adhere to the Florida Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) recertification requirements. 

ELIGIBILITY 

  • 18 years of age 
  • High school diploma or acceptable GED 
  • Valid driver’s license from any state (equivalent to a State of Florida Class E) may be utilized upon application; with the ability to obtain the State of Florida driver’s license by hire date 
  • Eligible to work in the United States

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

All FF/EMT/Paramedic applications must have the required attach requirements in addition to the Employment Application. 

Single Certified Paramedic 

  • A valid Florida driver license 
  • State of Florida Paramedic license 
  • Current CPR/BLS Card  
  • ACLS Card

PRN Paramedic 

  • A valid Florida driver license 
  • Current Florida Paramedic license 
  • EVOC (16-hour) certificate issued by certified Florida agency 
  • Current CPR/BLS Card 
  • ACLS Card 

Firefighter/EMT or Firefighter/Paramedic 

  • A valid Florida driver license 
  • Firefighter Certificate of Compliance 
  • State of Florida EMT or Paramedic License 
  • EVOC (16-hour) certificate issued by certified Florida agency 
  • Current CPR/BLS Card 
  • ACLS Card (Paramedic only)
