To join the Suwannee Fire Rescue, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of the United States of America.
- Be a resident of our location for at least six months prior to application.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 41.
- Have the desire and dedication to help others.
- Pass a background check.
Duties and Responsibilities
Once you join the Suwannee Fire Rescue, you will be expected to:
- Complete a probationary period of one year.
- Attend at least 50% of alarms, drills, and meetings for the first 7 years.
- Complete a Firefighter 1 course at a training academy.
